About Taylor Scott

Hello Internet! My name is Taylor Scott, and I am a self-proclaimed shop-a-holic, pop culture expert, and random information connoisseur – so it was only natural for me to start blogging about the things I find most important in life! My day job is a Morning Radio Co-Host on 95.9 The Ranch KFWR in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. You can catch me yakking on the radio about a lot of the topics on my blog, as well as delivering “News You Need to Know” from 6am-10am M-F.

I got my start in entertainment by telling jokes to family friends and putting on fashion shows in my parents’ living room. I also studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance for 13 years, as well as musical theater.

While in high school, I decided to combine my love for the theatrics and my talent for writing, and pursue a career in broadcast. While in college, I got my first radio job working in promotions at Clear Channel Radio in Austin, Texas. My first taste of being on-air was yelling into the mic at live events and eventually I got my big break voicing a commercial for a tuxedo rental company!

I have done just about everything in radio from news reporting / producing for News Radio 740 KTRH and Praise 92.1 KROI in Houston, to traffic reporting for 104.1 KRBE in Houston, The New 94.1 KTFM in San Antonio, 105.1 Jack FM in Kansas City, and have even been a website editor.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my dog Romeo, nature hikes, taking in live musical performances, live sporting events, cooking and baking, and catching up on all the great TV shows I miss while sleeping!
