Karl Lagerfeld is designing a special collection for Macy’s, featuring limited-edition women’s apparel that will be sold in about 235 Macy’s stores and online starting Aug. 31. The collection includes dresses, airy tops, tees, jackets, leggings and modern tweeds, with prices ranging from $50 to $170, Macy’s announced Wednesday (check out the sketches above). Jeff Gennette, Macy’s chief merchandising director, says in a news release that nabbing Lagerfeld — perhaps best-known as creative director of Chanel — marks a “very fashionable milestone” that “adds a new dimension of attainable luxury for our customers.” (Los Angeles Times)
If you remember Karl Lagerfeld also did a line for H&M back in 2004 that sold out in just TWO days! We better hurry to Macy’s!
